Our representative will wait for you at Tirana International airport and escort you to Kruja. Kruja is a medieval city, visit the Castle, Skanderbeg Museum, the old Bazar. Overnight.
2nd Day KRUJA / ARDENICA / APOLLONIA / VLORE
Breakfast, transfer to Ardenica Monastery, visit the church of Assumption of St. Mary. Continue to the ancient city of Apollonia.Sightseeing of the archaeological park and fortifications. Visit the 14th-century monastery and the church of St. Mary. Continue with the journey to Vlore city. Overnight.
3rd Day VLORE / HIMARE / PORTO PALERMO / SARANDE
This day we will only drive along the Albanian Riviera overlooking the Ionian Sea. We will stop in Porto Palermo where the Ali Pasha Castle stands like a barrier in front of the blue rocky sea as a protection to the country. After the visit, we arrive in Sarande. Overnight.
4th Day SARANDE / BUTRINT / SARANDE
Breakfast.Full day visit of Butrint archaeological park, UNESCO heritage site.Discover the ruins of temples,theater,baptistery,fortifications,defense gates.Overnight.
5th Day SARANDE / MESOPOTAM / GJIROKASTER
Breakfast. We continue the journey to Gjirokaster city. Visit en route the ruins of St. Kol ( Nikola ) church near Mesopotam village and Syri I Kalter ( blue eye ) a natural monument. On the way, we will visit one of the most interesting monuments in Albania, the church of Labove e Kryqit, which is devoted to Saint Mary. The Church is one of the oldest in Albania and once contained a holy relic believed to be a fragment of the true cross. We arrive in Gjirokaster, UNESCO heritage is also known as “ stone city “, for its typical houses built with stones. We visit the Bazar, Ethnographic Museum. Overnight.
6th Day GJIROKASTER / BYLIS / BERAT
Breakfast. We visit the ancient city of Bylis, founded by greeks. Arrive in Berat, known for its hilltop ancient fortress with the National Iconographic Museum Onufri. Sightseeing of Mangalemi quarter, UNESCO heritage sites, popular for its unique architecture of multiple window buildings named “ Town of thousand windows “.Overnight.
7th Day BERAT / DURRES / TIRANA
Breakfast and arrival in Durres on the Adriatic coast and main commercial port of Albania. Visit the ancient Roman remains including the amphitheater and the Archaeological Museum. Departure to Tirana and visit the Mosque of Etem Bey, the Clock Tower, the National Museum.Overnight.
8th Day TIRANA END OF TOUR
